Lee Elliott Marshall (she/her) is a Toronto-based producer who grew up in the Philippines. She produces stories that celebrate outsiders, interlopers, and misfits on the screen. Lee started in the film industry as an actor and turned to producing when she realized it meant she could decide what stories to tell.

The Guardian called her first feature Bleed With Me (2021) (dir. Amelia Moses), which she also stars in, “a tautly constructed work of psychological horror.” It was picked up by Epic Pictures and Ravenbanner Entertainment and is now streaming on SHUDDER in the US.

Lee wrote, directed and produced the fantasy short Love, Sylvia (2019) and co-produced two other short films with writer/director Samuel Edward Mac: dark comedy Hard Ground (2019) and horror-inspired Face (2022), which was selected by SODEC to play in a showcase at Clermont-Ferrand.

Lee is currently producing two projects with frequent collaborator Amelia Moses. They wrapped filming on the short coming-of-age thriller Her Body in Nova Scotia this May. They are also developing a second joint feature: the horrific sci-fi Hearing Things, which was an official selection for Frontières Market 2021 and received development funding from Telefilm in 2022.

She recently started writing her first series Returning. It’s a dark comedy about a woman who is haunted by her teenage ghost. The project was selected for the IPF-CMF Development Packaging Program in 2023.
